Learn to Spot Early Signs, Apply Practical Strategies, and Support Wellbeing at Work
Workplace burnout is a growing challenge that affects engagement, performance, and retention. Employees often don’t realize they are burning out until it’s too late, and managers struggle to spot the signs early. Traditional eLearning approaches—long slides, dense content, or passive videos—weren’t helping learners understand, recognize, or prevent burnout effectively.
I designed an interactive Burnout Prevention Training Module using Articulate Storyline 360. The course uses a tab-based interface with clean visuals, subtle animations, and clear cues to guide learners through five key areas:
What Burnout Really Is: Learners explore what burnout looks like, how it differs from stress, and why even high performers are vulnerable.
Early Warning Signs: Interactive scenarios highlight subtle cues, such as missed deadlines, withdrawal, fatigue, and declining work quality.
Prevention Strategies: Practical tips and behaviors help managers and employees set boundaries, give feedback, and foster psychological safety.
The Cost of Ignoring It: Learners see the ripple effects of inaction, including lower morale, reduced performance, and potential turnover.
Organizational Responsibility: This section emphasizes systems-level solutions, like supportive policies, team culture, and workload management.
Interactive, Tab-Based Layout: Keeps learners engaged, letting them explore content at their own pace.
Scenario-Based Learning: Realistic workplace examples help learners apply concepts immediately.
Visual Storytelling: Animations, dashboards, and simple graphics illustrate abstract concepts like stress, energy, and morale.
Knowledge Reinforcement: Optional knowledge checks help learners retain key points and connect them to real-life behaviors.
This project showcases my ability to create human-centered, learner-focused experiences that combine design, behavior science, and technology. It demonstrates how thoughtful instructional design can help organizations prevent burnout, improve wellbeing, and protect performance, all while keeping the learning experience engaging and memorable.
